Signs from Wisconsinites protesting during Governor Scott Walker's Inauguration

Post by Jesse Russell on 1/3/2011 3:30pm

As Scott Walker was inaugurated into the Wisconsin Governor's seat protesters concerned about his jobs and social agenda swarmed outside making their voices heard to those entering the Capitol. After a rally on the State Street side of the building the protesters marched to Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd. side to greet Walker as he arrived from a prayer breakfast at the Monona Terrace. A police officer informed the protesters that Walker would be escorted in through a different entrance so he could avoid the mob. At this point the group split up into about half a dozen small protests and fanned out around the Capitol building in order to have their voices heard at all of the entrances. Below is a collection of signs and faces from the Inauguration protest.
